Description

A delightful dessert combining rich chocolate flavors with creamy peanut butter, resulting in a gooey and sweet treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, replacing vegetable oil with melted butter.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Meanwhile, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream until melted and smooth.
  8. Once the cake is done, pour the melted chocolate sauce over the top.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving, and garnish with crushed peanuts if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer shelf life. Bring to room temperature before serving again for the best flavor.
