  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, substituting melted butter for vegetable oil.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. While the cake bakes, heat chocolate chips and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
  8. Once the cake is done, pour the melted chocolate sauce over the top and spread evenly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with crushed peanuts if desired.
