  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the box instructions and let it cool completely, then cut into cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened, letting it set for 5 minutes.
  5. To assemble the trifle, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle dish or large bowl.
  6. Add a layer of cheesecake mixture, then a layer of chocolate pudding. Sprinkle crushed chocolate cookies over the pudding.
  7. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
  8. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
