- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies (e.g., Oreos)
- 1 cup whipped cream for topping
- Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake according to the box instructions and let it cool completely, then cut into cubes.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- In another bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened, letting it set for 5 minutes.
- To assemble the trifle, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle dish or large bowl.
- Add a layer of cheesecake mixture, then a layer of chocolate pudding. Sprinkle crushed chocolate cookies over the pudding.
- Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
