Description

Delightful cheesecake bars with a graham cracker crust topped with rich caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream, mixing well.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until set.
  5. Once baked, allow the cheesecake to cool completely. After cooling, spread the caramel sauce on top and refrigerate for 2 hours before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a stronger caramel flavor, add more caramel sauce before serving. Optional toppings include chopped nuts or extra caramel sauce.
