- 7 oz milk chocolate, chopped
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream, chilled
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
- Chopped hazelnuts for garnish
- Edible gold leaf or gold dust (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the bottom of a heart-shaped springform pan with parchment paper.
- Mix ground hazelnuts, flour, sugar, melted butter, egg white, and vanilla extract until combined, then press evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely in the pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate and milk chocolate separately, then allow them to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form; divide into two bowls.
- Fold the dark chocolate into one bowl and the milk chocolate into the other.
- Pour the dark chocolate mousse over the cooled biscuit base and smooth with a spatula.
- Chill in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving.
