- 2/3 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (for ganache)
- Ferrero Rocher chocolates (for garnish)
- Gold sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, then beat on medium speed until smooth.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water and mix on low speed.
- Divide the batter evenly between the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, hazelnut liqueur, and a pinch of salt, mixing until smooth.
- For the ganache, heat the cream until steaming, then pour it over the chocolate chips, let sit for 5 minutes, and whisk until smooth.
- Let the cake layers cool completely. Place the first layer on a cake stand, spread halved Ferrero Rocher chocolates on top, add the second layer, and cover with hazelnut frosting.
- Place the last layer on top and pour the ganache over. Garnish with Ferrero Rocher chocolates and sprinkle gold for a glamorous touch.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for smooth batter. Espresso powder enhances chocolate flavor.
