Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup canned or frozen corn

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape the mixture into patties.
  2. Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. For the mashed potatoes, peel and boil diced potatoes until tender. Drain, then add butter and milk, mashing until smooth.
  4. Serve the hamburger steak pieces with a side of mashed potatoes and corn.

Notes

For a cheesy twist, add cheese to the hamburger steak. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
