Description

A delightful and comforting casserole packed with savory ground beef, colorful veggies, and tender noodles, all baked together for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups cooked chow mein noodles or ramen noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Pour over the beef mixture.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chow mein noodles, beef mixture, and frozen peas and carrots. Mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and slightly crispy on top.
  8. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds (optional). Serve hot and enjoy!
