Description

A simple and quick rice dish with mixed vegetables that even teenagers will love. Perfect for busy weeknights!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a pot.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the rice, olive oil, and salt.
  3. Stir well, cover the pot, and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  5. In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the mixed vegetables and garlic powder.
  6. Fluff with a fork once done, and add pepper to taste.

Notes

Rinse the rice before cooking to make it fluffier. Customize the vegetables based on your preference.
