Description

A delightful dish featuring tender turkey meatballs paired with a refreshing tzatziki sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for a low-carb option)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 small onion, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • For the tzatziki: Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, egg, and oregano until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs (about 1-2 inches in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. For the tzatziki, mix together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Serve meatballs with tzatziki on the side.

Notes

To keep the meatballs moist, avoid overmixing the ingredients. Add feta cheese for extra flavor, and adjust the garlic in the tzatziki to taste.
