- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and cut them into small pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
- If using fresh basil, add it now and drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
