Description
Homemade gourmet peach ice cream made with ripe peaches, perfect for summer treats.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk (adjust as needed)
Instructions
- Dice the peaches and mix them with the granulated sugar in a bowl. Allow the mixture to sit for about 20 minutes to macerate.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the half-and-half cream, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in the peach and sugar mixture.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker’s freezer container. Add enough whole milk to reach the fill line.
- Churn and freeze the mixture following your ice cream maker’s instructions, typically for 20-30 minutes.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours for a firmer texture.
Notes
Store leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Let it soften a bit before scooping.
