Description
A rich and creamy dessert combining peanut butter and chocolate, inspired by the beloved Reese’s candy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups crushed chocolate graham crackers or Oreos
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (or whipped cream)
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix crushed chocolate graham crackers or Oreos with melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Make the Peanut Butter Filling: In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until well combined and fluffy. Spread the filling evenly over the chilled crust.
- Prepare the Chocolate Topping: Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Pour the chocolate ganache over the peanut butter filling, spreading evenly to cover.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the pie for at least 2-3 hours, or until set. Slice and serve cold.
Notes
For an extra crispy crust, bake it in the oven for 10-15 minutes before chilling. Use creamy peanut butter for the best texture.
