- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake according to package directions.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by the caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped pecans on top.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the entire cake.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Make sure to poke the holes deep enough for the toppings to soak in. You can customize this recipe by using mini chocolate chips or walnuts.
