Description

A delightful dessert featuring rich chocolate cake soaked with sweetened condensed milk and caramel, topped with coconut and pecans.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake according to package directions.
  4. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
  6. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by the caramel sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped pecans on top.
  8. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the entire cake.
  9. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Make sure to poke the holes deep enough for the toppings to soak in. You can customize this recipe by using mini chocolate chips or walnuts.
