- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 cups small broccoli florets (fresh or thawed if frozen)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and season with Cajun seasoning; sear until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, chicken broth, onion powder, and smoked paprika; stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is thick, creamy, and smooth.
- Cook tortellini in salted boiling water according to package instructions; add broccoli during the last 2 minutes.
- Drain tortellini and broccoli, then add to the sauce.
- Return cooked chicken to skillet and toss to coat everything in the sauce; simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
- Serve hot, optionally topped with extra Parmesan.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like basil or parsley before serving. Use a lighter cream option for a healthier version.
