Description
A delightful dish combining savory ground beef and creamy garlic sauce with bowtie pasta, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and ground beef. Break apart the beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat if needed.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add Parmesan and mozzarella. Stir until melted into a creamy sauce.
- Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs loosening. Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet to coat it in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot and cheesy straight from the skillet.
Notes
For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes. You can swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
