Description

A delightful dish combining savory ground beef and creamy garlic sauce with bowtie pasta, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and ground beef. Break apart the beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat if needed.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add Parmesan and mozzarella. Stir until melted into a creamy sauce.
  5. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs loosening. Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet to coat it in the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot and cheesy straight from the skillet.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes. You can swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
