Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley flakes (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until it’s golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. In a saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the rice and butter, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer until the rice is fluffy.
  4. In a separate skillet, sauté the green beans with minced garlic and a splash of olive oil until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Add crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Plate the rice next to the chicken and add the green beans. Sprinkle dried parsley flakes on top for garnish.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and feel free to use fresh herbs if available. This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
