Description

A flavorful dish of tender steak bites combined with creamy Cajun Alfredo pasta, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for sauce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak pieces with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a large skillet over high heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter. Sear steak in a single layer for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons butter. Sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chicken broth and heavy cream, letting it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in Parmesan, mozzarella, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the drained pasta into the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Return the steak bites to the skillet and gently fold everything together, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Top with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use a hot skillet for a nice sear on the steak. Adjust the level of spice by using more or less Cajun seasoning.
