- 12 oz Bowtie pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 6-8 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the skillet to release any browned bits. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, cooking for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing until well coated with sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
