Description
A nutritious dish packed with protein and healthy fats, featuring savory garlic and onions with rich beef liver.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 slices beef liver
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: splash of vinegar or lemon juice
- 3–4 eggs
- Salt to taste
- 1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted
- Optional: sprinkle of lemon juice, salt, or chili flakes
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced onions. Cook until the onions are soft and fragrant.
- Add the beef liver slices to the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and fully cooked.
- In a separate pot, boil water. Gently add the eggs and cook for 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool. Peel the eggs and slice them in half.
- Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out a little flesh to make it look nice.
- To serve, layer the cooked liver with sautéed onions on a plate. Add the soft-boiled eggs on the side and place the avocado halves next to them.
- Optional: Drizzle a bit of lemon juice over the dish or sprinkle chili flakes for an extra kick.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored for up to 2 days. Avoid storing the avocado as it can brown quickly.
