Ingredients

  • 45 slices beef liver
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: splash of vinegar or lemon juice
  • 34 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted
  • Optional: sprinkle of lemon juice, salt, or chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced onions. Cook until the onions are soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the beef liver slices to the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and fully cooked.
  3. In a separate pot, boil water. Gently add the eggs and cook for 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool. Peel the eggs and slice them in half.
  4. Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out a little flesh to make it look nice.
  5. To serve, layer the cooked liver with sautéed onions on a plate. Add the soft-boiled eggs on the side and place the avocado halves next to them.
  6. Optional: Drizzle a bit of lemon juice over the dish or sprinkle chili flakes for an extra kick.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored for up to 2 days. Avoid storing the avocado as it can brown quickly.
