Rich chocolate pie with a creamy filling and a crispy Oreo crust, perfect for any occasion.

- 18 Oreo cookies (200g), with filling
- 3 tablespoons melted butter (42g)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
- 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate or extra dark chocolate (170g), finely chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (113g)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (237ml)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (237ml) for topping
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Chocolate curls for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9-inch deep pie dish with cooking spray or brush lightly with melted butter.
- Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely ground. Add the melted butter and pulse until moistened. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie dish. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until fragrant and set. Let cool completely.
- Melt the chopped chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave.
- In another heat-proof bowl, whisk the eggs with half of the sugar. Heat until reaching 165°F (74°C).
- Beat the egg mixture on high speed while gradually adding the remaining sugar until pale and thick.
- Add the cooled chocolate mixture and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the chocolate mixture. Pour the mixture into the cooled crust.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 240 minutes (4 hours) to set.
- For the topping, whip heavy cream until thickened, add powdered sugar, and beat until soft peaks form. Spoon on top of the pie and garnish with chocolate curls.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to let the chocolate mixture cool before adding it to the eggs to prevent cooking them.
