Delicious and flavorful spicy lamb meatballs served with a refreshing Green Goddess Dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, mint) chopped
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (basil, parsley, chives)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, egg, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. For the Green Goddess Dip, blend together the avocado, Greek yogurt, fresh herbs, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
  5. Serve the meatballs warm with the Green Goddess Dip on the side.

Notes

Make sure not to overmix the meatball mixture to avoid tough meatballs. Experiment with different herbs for added flavor.
