Description

A delicious and rich dessert that blends five different extracts for a unique flavor experience. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for glaze
  • 1/4 cup water for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set it aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the vanilla, almond, lemon, butter, and coconut extracts until everything is well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. While the cake bakes, prepare the glaze by combining sugar, water, and all extracts in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat.
  10. When the cake is done, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Turn it out onto a wire rack and brush the glaze over the warm cake.
  11. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
