Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon butter extract
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar for glaze
- 1/4 cup water for glaze
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze
- 1 teaspoon almond extract for glaze
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract for glaze
- 1 teaspoon butter extract for glaze
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla, almond, lemon, butter, and coconut extracts until everything is well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, prepare the glaze by combining sugar, water, and all extracts in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat.
- When the cake is done, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Turn it out onto a wire rack and brush the glaze over the warm cake.
- Let cool completely before serving.
