Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Combine baking soda and white vinegar in a small bowl. Fold this mixture into the cake batter gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting it.
- For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
