- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
- 1/2 cup macarons (various colors)
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, which is okay!
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
- Spread whipped cream between the two layers of cake and on top of the cake.
- Pour chocolate ganache over the top and let it drip down the sides for a beautiful effect.
- Decorate with crushed Oreos, colorful macarons, and sprinkles.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Make sure ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Consider adding chocolate chips for extra flavor. Chill the cake before serving for best results.
