A beautiful dessert featuring a soft sponge cake rolled with creamy filling and decorated with edible flowers.

- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Food coloring (pink)
- Edible flowers or fondant roses for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is thick. Then, add the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour and baking powder, and gently fold this into the egg mixture until combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Once baked, roll the warm cake with the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
- When the cake has cooled, carefully unroll it, spread a layer of whipped cream over it, and then roll it back up.
- Decorate the outside with colored cream and edible roses or fondant decorations.
- Refrigerate the Swiss roll for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
For variations, you can use different fillings such as fruit preserves or chocolate ganache.
