- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 3 cups buttercream frosting
- Purple food coloring
- White fondant for roses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until fully combined.
- Divide the batter equally between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely.
- Tint the buttercream frosting with purple food coloring until your desired shade is reached.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with a thin layer of buttercream.
- Create purple rose swirls around the sides and top using a piping bag.
- Shape additional roses out of white fondant for decoration.
- Add a white chocolate drip along the top edge for a finishing touch.
