Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 large egg yolks

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add heavy cream, whole milk, and eggnog to the saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens slightly, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and ground nutmeg.
  5. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Transfer to a lidded container and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
  8. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy!
