Ingredients

- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Approximately 20–24 plain biscuits (like Marie biscuits or digestive biscuits)
- 1/2 cup milk or strong coffee, for dipping
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Optional: Crushed nuts or sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar and cornstarch.
- Gradually add milk while whisking until smooth.
- Add egg yolks and whisk until combined.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and just boiling.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and butter until smooth.
- Allow pudding to cool slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Dip each biscuit quickly in milk or coffee and arrange in an 8×8 inch dish.
- Spread pudding over the biscuits and repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
- For the chocolate topping, heat the heavy cream until simmering and pour over chocolate chips; whisk until smooth.
- Pour chocolate ganache over the top layer of pudding.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve cold with optional nuts or sprinkles on top.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Customize with different flavors or fruits.
