Easy Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread

Description

Delicious bread infused with sweet cinnamon and sugar, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle half of it over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then turn out onto a wire rack.
  9. Brush the warm bread with melted butter and roll in the remaining cinnamon sugar mix. Enjoy it warm or toasted.

Notes

Serve warm with a pat of butter or toasted. Great with coffee or tea.
