  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and place both halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Evenly spread the garlic cheese mixture over each bread half, covering the entire surface.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread has a golden hue.
  6. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
