- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and place both halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Evenly spread the garlic cheese mixture over each bread half, covering the entire surface.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread has a golden hue.
- For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
