Delightful cinnamon rolls filled with fresh apples and enriched with a rich caramel frosting.

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for filling)
- 2 cups diced Granny Smith apples
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 can crescent rolls (8 rolls)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- Preheat the oven according to crescent roll package instructions (usually 375°F). Unroll the crescent dough, spoon apple filling onto each triangle, and roll it up.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan, stir in brown sugar and heavy cream, simmer, then whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve.
Notes
Use fresh Granny Smith apples for the best flavor. Store leftovers for up to 2 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge.
