  • 2 cups diced Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 can crescent rolls (8 rolls)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 23 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  2. Preheat the oven according to crescent roll package instructions (usually 375°F). Unroll the crescent dough, spoon apple filling onto each triangle, and roll it up.
  3. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan, stir in brown sugar and heavy cream, simmer, then whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
  5. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Use fresh Granny Smith apples for the best flavor. Store leftovers for up to 2 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge.
