Description

A simple and delicious breakfast treat with layers of buttery crescent rolls and a sweet cream cheese filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Lay one pack of crescent rolls in the pan, pressing the seams together.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.
  5. Unroll the second pack of crescent rolls and place it on top of the cream cheese mixture, sealing the seams.
  6. Brush the top layer with the egg white.
  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  8. While the danish is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  9. Once the danish is baked, allow it to cool for 20 minutes, then drizzle it with the glaze.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven before serving if desired.
