Description

Deliciously sweet and colorful truffle eggs made with Oreos and cream cheese, perfect for Easter festivities.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (about 36) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white chocolate (or candy melts, various colors if desired)
  • Food coloring or colored candy melts (pink, blue, yellow, purple)
  • Sprinkles or edible glitter for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. Add softened cream cheese to the crumbs and mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small egg shapes using your hands and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the truffle eggs for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. In separate bowls, melt white chocolate or candy melts, adding food coloring if using plain white chocolate.
  6. Dip each truffle egg into the melted chocolate, let the excess drip off, and place back on the tray. Drizzle with other colored chocolate and top with sprinkles.
  7. Let the coating harden; you can chill them briefly in the fridge again.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for a couple of months.
