A rich and creamy dessert combining layers of chocolate cake, Oreo cheesecake, and fluffy Oreo mousse, topped with chocolate ganache.

- 1 package Chocolate Cake Mix (plus ingredients listed on the back of the box)
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 10 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 16 whole Oreo cookies
- 1 envelope powdered gelatin (2 1/4 tsp)
- 10 tbsp milk, divided equally into 2 small bowls
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 24 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- For the Chocolate Cake Layer: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 10-inch cake pan with non-stick baking spray. Mix the cake according to the package instructions and bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely and refrigerate.
- For the Oreo Cheesecake Layer: Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Beat cream cheese, sugar, and flour until combined. Add eggs and mix slowly, then add vanilla, sour cream, and crushed Oreos. Pour into a prepared springform pan with whole Oreos on top. Bake for 60 minutes. Cool in the oven with the door cracked and refrigerate for 5-6 hours.
- For the Oreo Mousse: Prepare the same springform pan. Bloom gelatin in half of the milk, then heat to dissolve. Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until medium peaks form, adding the gelatin mixture and crushed Oreos. Refrigerate until set.
- For the Chocolate Ganache: Boil heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth, add sugar, cool, and refrigerate until firm. Beat until fluffy.
- To Assemble: Place a cake round on a stand, spread frosting, add the chocolate cake layer, and frost again. Add the Oreo cheesecake and mousse layers, covering with frosting. Chill for an hour before serving. Decorate with Oreo cookies and crushed Oreos before serving.
Notes
Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for easier mixing. Let the cheesecake cool completely in the oven to prevent cracks. Chill overnight for best texture.
