- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup whole pecans, for topping
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and arrange the whole pecans on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before serving. Drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk for added sweetness.
Notes
Serve at room temperature or slightly warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
