Ingredients

  • 320 g Flour
  • 1.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Soda
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 225 g Softened butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 3 pcs Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 240 ml Milk
  • 120 ml Chilled strong coffee
  • 160 g Caramel sauce
  • 125 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Chilled strong coffee
  • 80 g Caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 150 g Butter
  • 125 ml Cream (fat content 22-35%)

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter with the sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  2. Add flour, milk, and chilled coffee to the mixture and blend until smooth.
  3. Preheat your oven to 175 °C and prepare three 20 cm molds. Pour batter evenly into the molds and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow cakes to cool completely.
  4. Prepare the caramel sauce by melting sugar over medium heat until it turns amber. Add chopped butter and stir until dissolved. Gradually pour in warmed cream and stir until smooth. Let cool.
  5. For the cream, beat butter in a separate bowl, then add sugar, coffee, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  6. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a plate, spreading caramel sauce and buttercream between layers. Decorate the top with extra cream and cake crumbs if desired.

Notes

Serve this cake at room temperature, paired with coffee or tea. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or freeze individual slices.
