Description

A hearty pie combining ground beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and melted cheese in a rich pizza sauce for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 deep-dish pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2025 pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, and then drain any excess grease.
  3. Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce into the bottom of the pie crust. Carefully add the cooked meat mixture on top.
  4. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and place the pepperoni slices over the cheese. Finish by sprinkling Italian seasoning on top.
  5. Place the pie tin on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake for 30–35 minutes. The cheese should be melted and golden, and the crust should be nice and crispy.
  6. Once done, let the pie rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing it into wedges.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
