Description
Delightful bites combining creamy cheesecake with fresh strawberries, wrapped in crispy wonton shells. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 20–24 wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Strawberry jam (optional for serving)
- Whipped cream (optional for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the diced strawberries and set the filling aside.
- Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper into a sealed shape, and press the edges tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry a few wontons at a time, cooking for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Toss the warm wontons in this mixture to coat evenly.
Notes
Serve warm with strawberry jam or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
