- 1 cup strong coffee
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
- 3 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 packages ladyfingers
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Brew the coffee and mix it with the coffee liqueur; let it cool.
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth.
- Dip the ladyfingers briefly in the coffee mixture and layer them in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the layers and finish with a smooth top layer of mascarpone.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark coffee and high-quality coffee liqueur. Letting it chill overnight is ideal for deepening flavors.
