Description

A rich, moist chocolate cake packed with crushed Oreos, topped with silky chocolate ganache and whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
  3. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Blend the wet and dry ingredients until they are smooth.
  5. Gently fold in half of the crushed Oreos.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  7. Once cool, spread chocolate ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
  8. Pipe whipped cream on top and garnish with the remaining crushed Oreos.
  9. Slice the cake and enjoy every bite!

Notes

Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or cold milk.
