Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cold butter, and sugar until it becomes crumbly.
  3. Add the egg yolk and form a dough.
  4. Press the dough into a tart pan and bake for 15-20 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
  5. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks, and then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Spread the filling into the cooled tart shell, dust it with powdered sugar, and garnish with lemon zest.
  8. Chill the tart for 1 hour before serving.
