- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g unsalted butter
- 200g caster sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 100g plain flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter together over low heat. Once melted, let it cool for a few minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the caster sugar and eggs until the mixture becomes pale.
- Add the vanilla extract and the cooled melted chocolate and butter mixture to the egg and sugar mix. Stir well until combined.
- Gently fold in the plain flour and a pinch of salt using a spatula or wooden spoon. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the brownie batter into the lined baking tray and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. The brownies should be set but still gooey in the center.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool in the tray. After cooling, cut into squares and serve!
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or dust with powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
