Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or your favorite recipe)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour (heat-treated for safety)
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chip cookies (for garnish)
  • Chocolate drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions in two 8-inch round pans. Allow to cool completely.
  2. For the edible cookie dough, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and heat-treated flour. Mix until combined.
  4. Stir in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. To serve, place one layer of the chocolate cake on a cake stand. Spread a layer of chocolate frosting on top. Then, add a layer of cookie dough.
  6. Place the second layer of chocolate cake on top and frost the entire cake.
  7. For a beautiful finish, sprinkle mini chocolate chip cookies on top and add a chocolate drizzle if desired.

Notes

Ensure to heat-treat the flour for safety. You can use store-bought frosting or make your own for added flavor.
