Decadent Chocolate Strawberry Cake Delight

Description

A rich and moist chocolate cake layered with creamy frosting and fresh strawberries, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate ganache
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and beat until everything is well combined.
  4. Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, so don’t worry!
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
  7. While the cakes are cooling, whip the heavy cream, cream cheese, and powdered sugar to make a fluffy frosting.
  8. Once the cakes are cool, layer them with the frosting in between the two layers.
  9. Pour the dark chocolate ganache over the top of the cake and decorate with fresh strawberries and mint leaves.
  10. Chill the cake for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can freeze individual slices for up to a month.
