A rich dessert combining dark chocolate with creamy peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g sugar
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200g peanut butter
  • 100ml caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ยฐC and line a cake tin with baking paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl over simmering water, then let it cool slightly.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy. Mix in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture.
  4. Fold in the flour and baking powder gently until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared tin.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, then let the cake cool completely.
  6. Once the cake is cool, spread a layer of peanut butter between the cake layers.
  7. Pour warm caramel sauce over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  8. Chill the cake in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor. For added crunch, sprinkle some crushed peanuts on top before serving.
