Description

A rich and moist chocolate cake with layers of whipped cream and chocolate glaze, perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 300ml cream
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Mix the melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
  5. Add the flour and baking powder to the wet mix and stir well.
  6. Divide the batter into three equal parts and pour each into separate baking tins.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Once baked, let the layers cool completely.
  9. Whip the cream with the cocoa powder and spread it between each cake layer.
  10. Cover the top with melted chocolate glaze and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  11. Add dollops of whipped cream on top.
  12. Chill the cake in the fridge before serving.

Notes

For a fresh twist, add fruits like raspberries or strawberries between the layers.
