- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g butter
- 150g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300ml cream
- 50g cocoa powder
- 100g chocolate chips
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. Stir until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Mix in the melted chocolate and butter until well combined.
- Gently add the flour and baking powder, mixing until just incorporated.
- Divide the batter into three equal parts and pour each part into separate baking tins.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake layers cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a bowl, whip the cream and cocoa powder together until fluffy.
- Spread the whipped cream evenly between the cooled layers of cake.
- Pour melted chocolate glaze over the top layer, letting it drip down the sides.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and add dollops of whipped cream.
- Chill the cake before serving to let the flavors meld together.

For best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. You can also add nuts or use white chocolate for variation.
