- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup hazelnut spread
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter together. Press this mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch springform pan. Chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler. Once melted, let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Carefully fold the melted chocolate and hazelnut spread into the whipped cream until well combined.
- Pour this creamy mixture over the chilled crust. Smooth the top with a spatula and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts on top and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
- Slice and enjoy this delicious cake!
Notes
For a variation, consider adding a layer of raspberries or strawberries on top before serving. Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
