A rich and creamy cake that combines smooth chocolate mousse with a delightful hint of hazelnut, all on a crunchy cookie crust.

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup hazelnut spread
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter together. Press this mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch springform pan. Chill for 30 minutes.
- In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate, then let it cool slightly.
- Whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Fold the melted chocolate and hazelnut spread into the whipped cream until well combined.
- Pour this mixture over the chilled crust. Smooth the top and refrigerate for 4 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts on top and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
- Slice and serve the cake.
Notes
Store any leftover cake in the refrigerator. It’s best enjoyed within the first couple of days.
